From the moment he was born Eric brought an energy with him that lifted spirits and brought joy, everywhere he went. Eric was a man of many talents and interests, from Music and performing to any sport he set his mind to.
He dedicated his time and energy to being the best he could and always seeking to better himself and those around him. In his spare time he volunteered to support a NHS Mental Health charity that gave young men with mental health conditions a chance to enjoy football as a way of coping.
Be it his infectious laugh, positive energy or kind and generous attitude, Eric was undeniably special and we will remember him with love, always.
Eric fought long and hard against his cancer, in the face of such a cruel and unexpected diagnosis, he truly proved he was a force to be reckoned with. His family and friends are proud of the courage and tenacity he showed during the past two years.
In the end, we are only borrowing one another, for just a short time, and so we each feel blessed that Eric was able to be a presence in our lives for however long or short that may have been.
We were richer for having known and loved him, poorer for having lost him.
