Obituary

About Ronda's Life

On Thursday, 1st October , 2020, Ronda Rennie, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at age 42.

Ronda was born on 11th February, 1978 in Cumuto, Trinidad and Tobago to Soloman and Pearl (Cruickshank) Daire. Ronda spent the first 21 years of her life in Cumuto, Trinidad and the other 21 years in London, United Kingdom where she met and married her husband Augustine Rennie. They raised two children, Rianna and Ryen.

Ronda had a great fascination and love for “all things science” and attended London South Bank University and University College London where she obtained her BSc Honours in Science and PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) respectively and worked as a Science Technician and then Science Teacher/Tutor later in her career.

She was always so full of energy and loved spending time cooking and entertaining her family and friends and enjoyed hobbies of visiting museums, puzzles, gardening and exercise –  Ronda overcame her fear of swimming despite a very tragic seaside accident when she was just a little girl and inspired her husband along with both children to go on to complete many triathlons. She was of Christian faith and had a positive and optimistic flair about her. She was also an avid movie buff (but hated rom-coms), music lover and a collector of stationary (she loved pens!).

Ronda was known for her wittiness, lovely infectious smile, her inspirational selflessness, compassionate spirit and unreserved instinct of kindness.

Ronda was preceded in death by her beloved sister Ria Daire. She is survived by her parents Soloman and Pearl, husband Augustine, her two children Rianna and Ryen, her brothers Lyndon and Dane, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ronda was loved by all and will be truly missed.

May God rest her soul.
