The East London Cemetery and Crematorium are located in West Ham in the London Borough of Newham. The cemetery is privately owned and does not charge different fees for different residents. The cemetery was opened in 1872 and covers approximately 33 acres. The 19th century cremation and burial chapels can seat 70 people, with standing room for a further 30.
