About Church Gresley Cemetery
Church Gresley Cemetery is located on York Road and was founded in 1880. Initially laid out over 6½ acres, it has expanded to around 10 acres containing over 10,200 graves. The original mortuary chapel has been demolished; a lodge and board room remain. Managed by South Derbyshire District Council, the cemetery is open every day, and Church Gresley is the only SDDC cemetery allowing vehicles within the grounds.
Grave leases are provided from 50 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
