About Horwich Cemetery
Horwich Cemetery, also known as Ridgmont Cemetery, opened in 1928 on Chorley Old Road and is the newest of Bolton's seven cemeteries. It occupies a semi-rural location next to Ridgmont Park on the outskirts of Horwich. The cemetery contains 11 Second World War war graves and recorded approximately 6,025 burials up to 2006. Its relatively modern layout and countryside surroundings make it a tranquil setting.
Grave leases are provided from 99 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
