The cemetery opened in 1947 and is approximately 20 acres in size. It is multi-faith and multi-cultural. New graves are only available in the Lawn, Semi-Lawn and Cremated Remains sections. A new cemetery extension has been completed which will provide new lawn style graves for a further 20 years.

Merton and Sutton Joint Cemetery has a burial chapel available to seat 90 attendees. The cemetery charges an additional £65.00 for use of the chapel, which includes a 30-minute service. |
