The Funeral Expenses Payment is a government grant to help with funeral costs. This tool checks whether you may be eligible — it takes around 2–5 minutes.

The DWP reviews the application and may contact you if it needs any further information.
Eligible claims can include up to £1,000 toward other funeral expenses, plus necessary crematorium or cemetery costs.
