I shopped around before deciding to use In Memory of Life. Unfortunately, over recent years I’ve had to deal with laying to rest another loved one. I used a well known high street funeral company back then. In comparison, ‘In Memory of Life’ is second to none.
Nick and Tali, both proprietors and siblings were magnificent. Every detail of my late husband’s funeral was handled with the utmost of care and they and their staff (and the pall bearers) fulfilled my wishes with sensitivity, respect and professionalism. Through mainly WhatsApp texts, which may seem strange at first, they gave me regular check ins. If I wasn’t clear on anything they would arrange to call me instead. On reflection, I had more contact with Nick and Tali who (Tali) increasingly took the reins, than what I ever had with the other well known high street funeral directors. So the WhatsApp texts turned out to be a more easier and quicker way to communicate my needs to them and get resolutions to my questions. Tali’s check ins from time to time, just to see how I was baring up and to verify with me that I was ‘happy’ that every detail was to my satisfaction, brought me untold comfort during the hardest time of my life. I also have to give a warm thank you to Mark, the funeral conductor on the day. He rang me the day before, explaining what was going to happen on the day of my husband’s funeral and wanted to check if I had any questions for him. He invited me to walk in front of the hearse as a mark of respect to my late husband for a short distance as I left my home with my beloved. Mark also offered his arm to me as we walked into the chapel behind my husband. The attentiveness and attention to detail rippled throughout the whole company. Thank you to each and every one of you, including Maria at the funeral parlour. With much gratitude. Beverley x
