Carl was a caring and loving person, and very strong willed.
Enthusiasm was always with Carl, the will to win at anything - sport, board games (he might cheat a bit).
From his early teens Carl always wanted to be a photographer and upon leaving school studied photography at college. He got a job as a Press Photographer and was even awarded "Young Northern Photographer of the Year" for one particular year.
He was married to Caroline and was a step-dad to Caroline's son, Connor, before the arrival of his own 2 sons, Lewis and Charlie.
Also step -father to Angies children Samantha and Stuart and step grandfather to Bobbie, Alice and Rosie.
He left North News and started up as a free-lance press photographer.
After his divorce from Caroline, he drifted from one place to another for a while. But he was finally saved by the love of a good woman in the name of Angie, who loved and cared for him through all his struggles in life. Without Angie by his side night and day, we might well have been sitting here much sooner than today. We all love you Carl. You will be constantly in our hearts and prayers. RIP.
