Dearest Eva, Losing Capt. Suri feels like losing a piece of warmth and goodness from this world. He was such a fine gentleman — gracious, kind, gentle, and deeply genuine. The moments we shared with him… the laughter, the stories, the quiet understanding… are now treasures we will hold close forever. He adored you, Eva — truly and deeply. He spoke of you with such tenderness, always wanting to buy you something, always thinking of how to make you happy & secure. He would often say, with complete sincerity, “I want to make sure she’s well looked after, even after I’m gone.” His love for you was steady, protective, and beautifully pure. He was equally devoted to his children, Bria and Kian. Whenever he visited Dubai, his whole face would light up during video calls with them — smiling, chatting, and cherishing every moment. And Sanjay, though much older, held a very special place in his heart as well. His pride and affection for his children were woven into everything he did. I will never forget the tenderness and thoughtfulness you both showed when Shakti went to university. The way you and Capt. Suri wrapped her in care, guided her, and ensured she felt safe and supported meant more to me than words can ever express. Later when Ameya too joined university knowing he was there for them — standing in for us with such love and gentleness — brought me a comfort I will carry forever. Our deepest condolences to you, Eva… and to Sanjay, Bria and Kian. I cannot imagine the depth of your pain, but I pray that the light of his soul, and the love he gave so freely, surrounds you now and always. Condolences to all Suri’s family and friends. Suri was a lovely guy and I got to know him better on our Cricket tour to Grenada. He always made me laugh and introduced me to some great Indian restaurants in Hammersmith. He was also a great driver negotiating the treacherous Grenada mountain “roads!” I’ll always have fond memories of him, one of a kind ❤️

We are so sorry to hear of your loss, Mr Suri was always such a happy smiling face at Chiswick CC, who’d always be happy for a chat and have a lovely view on things. I was always very keen to hear about Kian’s success on a cricket field, which he enjoyed supporting so closely. I will never forget our trip to Grenada in 2022, where we got to know each other better. After the trip, his generosity was significant… he personally put in very substantial funds to our Grenada Cricket Foundation in St Marks supporting young children play cricket in a very poor area of the country. When we went back in 2024 we could see the fruits of his donations in the players who had benefited from this.

Sending my sincerest condolences to Suri’s family and friends. He was one of a kind. A gentle soul with a heart of gold. Harry and Ben have very fond memories of many Sunday cricket matches playing with Suri, who was always so encouraging and thoughtful.

In Loving Memory of Suri My family and I first met Suri ten years ago, when my children joined Kew College school. From the very beginning, he struck me as a very smart, generous, and warm-hearted person. His home was always open to friends, and he welcomed everyone with kindness – and with the most delicious Indian food. I have never tried Indian food before, but through his wife, Eva, who took me to Southall and introduced me to many wonderful Indian restaurants, I discovered a whole new world of flavours. I am now truly in love with Indian food. Their warmth and hospitality opened not only their home to me but also an entire culture that I now deeply appreciate. Suri was someone people naturally turned to for help. Whenever anyone came to him seeking guidance, he offered his support freely. Whenever I visited his wife, he would share thoughtful and useful advice, always with sincerity and care. Suri was a hard working man- dedicated, focused, and determined in everything he did. Although I didn’t see him as often after his son left Kew College school, I stayed in touch with his wife. My family and I met Suri again at Ruth’s wedding, and even though he was already unwell, he welcomed everyone with incredible energy and spirit. His dancing, his joy, and his warmth lit up the celebration. Not long after, I received the heartbreaking news of his cancer diagnosis. He remained remarkably optimistic, courageous, and unwavering in his strength. The news of his passing on the 22nd of November came as a deep saddened. He left behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, resilience, and love – qualities he has passed on to his two children and his wife. I will always remember Suri with gratitude and affection. His presence touched many lives, including mine, and his memory will continue to live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the family of Captain Suri, my best friend who regretfully passed away in a severe struggle with the desease. Best doctors from all over the world did their best, his wife Eva put all her utmost efforts from the first to the last day staying in the hospitals supporting Suri in all respects scarifying herself for his recovery. We all prayed for his recovery and hoped he will, but regretfully the enemy appeared to be stronger and Suri left us.  Suri was a great man, husband and father, always kind and helpful. He was my best friend and teacher since I joined Silver Line in June 1996. Suri left us , but he will remain in our memories and hearts forever.  Let him peacefully sleep in the hands of the God. I regret I will not attend the funeral as I’m flying on December 2nd to USA to board the vessel.

To the family of Mr Suri, Please accept my sincere apologies for not being in the country and therefore unable to attend his funeral to pay my final respects. Mr Suri’s mere presence warranted respect without speech and his actions and words imparted wisdom and tremendous warmth and generosity. Mr Suri was a true legend, a real gem of a man. Incredibly warm, generous and witty, the time I spent with him I will never forget, especially in Dubai last year when our boys were out there on a cricket tour. I pray that Kian, Eva and the rest of the family are blessed with the strength to overcome their grief, and in time adjust to a new norm, with the fond memories of the great man always at the forefront of their minds.
