In lieu of flowers the family have suggested, if you would like to make a donation, they would like to suggest PSPA charity. Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a complex neurological condition that progressively affects movement, balance, vision, speech, and swallowing. There is currently no treatment to slow down the development of PSP and there is no cure. PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and corticobasal degeneration. If you are able to donate, however much, it will help fund research and information, support families and raise awareness of this cruel disease. Thank you from all the family.

Really saddened to hear about Alan’s passing. He was larger than life and did everything for Chislehurst Wanderers and AFC Chislehurst – he truly was the heart of the club. He had a big impact on me growing up, always supporting me on and off the pitch. So many great memories, especially the trips away to Selsey, Butlins and Pontins. Rest in peace, Alan. You won’t be forgotten. Frank Arnold

Alan was a lovely, good humoured, kind man, I enjoyed being in his company even if it meant going to the Farmhouse pub so he could eat the free cheese. He was fantastic to the boys in the football team and will be sadly missed.

Absolutely gutted to hear about the passing of Alan, a true gentleman, who always do anything for our kids and their football. I have some great memories over the years with our away, weekends to Butlins and Pontins. He was also partial to a few cans of apple juice that I remember over the years. (Strongbow Organic) or something like that! Also, you were a massive help to my two boys, James and William and getting them to play football with your coaching and hard work. RIP Big man.

Thank you Alan for all the memories you gave me growing up as my football coach, you were the backbone of chislehurst wanderers and I will never forget the memories. Rest in peace, you will be deeply missed. James
