One of the first times I met Alexi, he was 4 years old and snuggled down in a beanbag in the Vineyard classroom, half asleep, while Felix read him a story. He looked so peaceful and sweet! Of course, almost every other time I met him over the years he was usually bouncing around like Tigger, full of life and fun. He was always curious with a huge zest for life. He was up for anything. Alexi was a wonderful friend to Felix as they grew up. Even when they didn’t see each other for months at a time they would instantly re-connect and disappear together. He was also always very kind to Max who always loved Alexi. I’ll miss you Alexi and all my thoughts are with those who loved him.

Three years ago I was lucky enough to spend a few days with you in Hydra. I felt very proud of the man you had become and I feel lucky that I didn’t forgot to tell you how much. We had such a nice time and without you realizing it you helped me alot. We laughed alot along with some shots of tequila!!!!! I always pictured you with a huge smile on your face, and I’ll always will. I remember when you were a small boy I took you to the movies. You asked me “when are we getting there?” and I answered “soon” and then you answered back “tomorrow is soon as well..” . As I wrote to your mum and dad in a private message I always thought of you of some kind of a genius. Special. Gifted . That you were above average. And looking back in history many many great minds and talented artists and musicians leave the world early…. Farewell Alexi….May you rest in peace. As your much older cousin and godmother you will always be in my heart and even though I didn’t get to see you alot , you will be missed….  Desp

It is difficult to capture what Alexi meant to me in words, but I am blessed to have many good memories with him which allow me to paint a picture, a narrative, in my mind that I can hold on to and cherish for the rest of my life. I know that others who knew him have memories they will hold on to as well. I first started drinking coffee thanks to Alexi, and to this day, 14 years later after the first coffee in Ydra, anytime I make a pot of coffee in the morning I am taken back to the espresso machine in the marble white kitchen and subsequent walks out to the balcony to plan what we will do on the summer day. The first time I ever cried as a result of laughing too hard was thanks to Alexi. And so was the second, third, and fourth time. Come to think of it, I have never laughed more than when I was with Alexi. Alexi gave me courage to jump off high rocks into the sea, taught me how to chug a beer, and had no problem bringing me back down to earth anytime I got out of line. I am grateful for everything he has taught me and for all the experiences that we shared. He was funny, intelligent, caring, generous, loyal, adventurous, driven, and loving. Alexi will be missed ❤️

When I first met Chris he always told me about his best friend, Alexi, and how I would have to meet him. Little did I know that Alexi would also become one of my best friends too ❤️ Alexi was such a kind, funny, and brilliant person. He was such a light in our world. From trips to Greece, trips to America, laughing without end, sharing stories, and much more… I’m so grateful for all of the incredible memories we shared with him. We will miss him very much. I will always be praying for him, and for all of you ❤️

Life is family, friends and loved ones. Life is joy and struggle. Happiness and sadness. Challenges and triumphs. A constant battle to balance.  Life is nice. It is a journey. For some longer and for some shorter. And for you dear Alexi such a short one. So unfair and uncomprehensive.  So proud of your accomplishments and the person you became. Your big smile and shiny eyes reflected your big and warm heart! Love you cousin! ❤️

Alexi thankyou for bringing your inspiring positivity, infectious enthusiasm and huge smile to us for the time you worked with us. Even during that short time you had a big affect on your colleagues and on me and I’m honoured to have met and worked with you.

I didn’t know you passed away earlier this year. Thank you for the incredible moments we spent together at the University and during cybersecurity competitions such as C2C and Inter-Ace: https://youtu.be/YbdWqWjLI3o?t=40 You’re always up for challenges, full of joy, dynamism and smiling like an everlasting sun. These memories I have of you and the challenges we faced will never fade away. Here be dragons. I’ll continue to chase dragons in my cybersecurity journey. It was an eventful pleasure to meet you. Cheers! Greetings from Reunion Island.
