We always remember Brendan as a family man. He would travel to see his Auntie Kitty when on her many visits to Hospital . He would always cheer her up. It was always good to see both Brendan and Chris to the various gigs we went to in London. He was always enthusiastic I know how much he will be missed by Debbie Liam Amy and sad he will not see Eva Hope grow. Our Thoughts are with you all Eddie & Babs

Brendan was a lovely full of love for everyone who crossed his path, i remember having a conversation with him about my Dad he had so much love for him and spoke very kindly about all the bango playing and all the sing songs they shared over the years, beautiful memories to treasure for many years to come,a special word to Denis the menace! as he fondly called him my thoughts are with you. Deb, Liam, Amy, I am so sorry to have heard of the loss of Brendan. While I only met him the once, he was a wonderful man, who made me feel welcome and part of the family. Hold on to the memories, I know I will, and we will all see him again.

Brendan, I will forever cherish the memories of your ability to light up a room by bursting into song at the earliest opportunity. You always knew how to lift spirits, even in the darkest of times. You brought so much joy to so many people and I hope the Jakubiszyn-Cottrell family bond will continue over the years to come. May we one day bellow Bohemian Rhapsody together again. So sad at the passing of Brendan.Have many happy memories of when we all congregated in the garden of 40 MT.Assumpta.It was a happy garden,with Dennis in his playpen in the archway and the rest of us having a great time playing.I remember the evenings in the Cottrell house,everyone was so welcome there.I am so glad I got to meet up with Brendan,Debbie and members of the family over the past couple of years at mass in the cathedral and catch up afterwards.Gone too soon Brendan but always in our thoughts.May you rest in peace.

Brendan was always so welcoming and open-hearted. He treated everyone with such warmth and kindness and had a rare ability of being able to make you feel special. The impact he had in his lifetime will ripple on and on. We’re both so grateful to have known him, and our thoughts are with his family and everyone who is mourning his passing.

Condolences to all the Cottrell family and their loved ones on the Brendan’s sad passing. I have not seen Brendan or most of his siblings for many year (apart from Dennis — a very good neighbour to our mother). But I do have lots of fond memories of the younger Brendan, like playing games etc with Chris, Brendan and all the gang on their many visits to their gran, aunt and uncle St Muredachs Tce.
