Darnell the loss of you has been a complete shock, your infectious personality will never be forgotten and I will never forget the long conversations we shared for hours on end. Also I will never forget when we went to that little cocktail bar called Detroit where you insisted I try ALL the cocktails… then you laughed cause I couldn’t get off my seat for I was so tipsy but you made sure I made it safely home. I miss you so much even though now I’m all the way in Australia, I’ll think of you when the Australian tennis open is on as you always said you wanted to come watch the Williams sisters. may you RIP miss you love Naz xx

My sincerest condolences to BroNorbert and familyon the death of their son. It is devastating when parents have to bury a child. Rest assured however that the God who created Darnel ,knows what is best. We can never see or know the purposes of God, but all is well that’s done by Him. Darnell, my dear friend, I’ve known you since we were children, we lost touch and then reconnected as adults. We could talk for hours about the past and how far we have come from since Black Rock days. I am saddened that we never saw much of each other as I would have liked. You never got to visit me by the seaside as planned.  I am still in shock and I can’t believe you have left this world, rest in peace until we meet again. To my cousin Darnell who has gone too soon: it seems like only yesterday that you scolded us to go home to Auntie or else we would be spanked by you! A protective cousin, a giver and a friend that is highly respected. I was not prepared to lose you so soon. Darnel my cousin was very kind and hard working. Darnel welcomed me to his home and he could sing too! I never forget the tasty nut roast he made for me and my auntie.  Darnel wanted our family to do better, to support one another and get our hands and hearts together ❤️ Rest in peace cousin x

My cousin, there’s no words to describe the pain inside, I wasn’t prepared for this so soon. It was just few months ago I saw you and I didn’t know it would be the last , we had a wonderful time although it was a bitter sweet moment but thank God we all find the time to spend with each other by our grandparents house (up a yard ). There’re somethings that stand out in my mind about you. 1. You were very ambitious 2.you show management skills form a young age. 3.you were my first employer (smile). 4. You were always willing to help wherever needs arise. We had some great childhood memories and I will hold them dearly. I thank God I was able to pray with you and encourage you to accept Jesus as your personal lord and savior . Even when you were going through your illness,you did not complain, you were always smiling . You would said to me(enough about me ,how are you doing). You will always be in our hearts. My prayers are with his parents, sisters and brothers. May you find comfort in Jesus.

My most memorable time spent with Darnell was when I first visited him at his home some years ago. He pulled out all the stops for myself and Sharon, I felt as if I was in a mini hotel. He treated us so well, his hospitality was impeccable.   The icing on the cake was when he took us to the restaurant where he worked as the manager.   It was the first time I went to a restaurant where the menu card was written and put together by some I knew- my nephew Darnell. As I carefully glanced over the recipes I was overwhelmed and so proud of him. I give God thanks for all his achievements and the way how he enabled him to impact the lives of so many people with his kindness and generosity. He will be greatly missed. His memories will be always cherished. Rest in peace Darnell. Auntie Velma

My Dearest Darnell Bryan, the hurt and pain I’ve experienced since your untimely passing. Yet it’s with great honor I can say knowing you is a rich part of my life. Darnell could just tell me you’re “wrong” when need be. Yes I didn’t always welcome such, however he was a true friend and brother. With an infectious laughter we could laugh and talk about old days and new ones. How I will miss you my dearest, cherishing our good bad and indifference. R.I.P ❤️

When the lord calls our loved ones home he leaves a gift of memories in exchange and am blessed to have that gift of Darnell making me laugh every time he speaks.. memories are the legacy of love .. Darnell, smartie pants, Mr determine. One of the kindest people I know. Why did you have to go so soon? You left us with such wonderful memories, your humour was unmatched.  Your perseverance, ambition, focus and drive is to be emulated. Your love for culinary arts is to be admired. You would tell me how exciting it is when you have the opportunity in previous jobs, to arrange exciting menus for your customers to enjoy….You paid your dues to the industry. I have watched you giving your all in everything you do. I miss you so much!!   Our laughter: As you would say to me “when you wrong mi tell you”….now who have you left behind to tell me when I’m wrong?!!!   Who am i going to tell my stories to? I will miss the moments when you’d laugh and say “Tell mi more” Times when you would tell me don’t be so sensitive and melodramatic lol….you and I know that you were the epitome of such characteristics I.e. the running joke between us. Thinking of you today Bry Bry as I used to call you, you first introduced me to waiting job at a pub in Kentish Town- the manager was an Italian man called Terry. I had no idea what I was doing but you tried with me and ensure I get my fair share of the nights tips!! still can’t believe you are gone man!
