Deidre-Ann was born in Trinidad and came over to the UK to complete her studies. She excelled in her academic life and achieved her masters. Deidre achieved a lot throughout her life, she excelled in her career, her hobbies, her business. She was also the mother to her daughter Seven, as well as being a mother, she was also a cousin, an auntie, a friend and many other things to various people. Deidre was bubbly, happy, determined, kind, intelligent and full of life and that is how I think she would like to be remembered by everyone.

Sister I can’t believe this news. I reflect on our dance ministry days, your encouragement, your challenges to help me grow and a deep conviction for the faith. Knowing I won’t hear that accent against brings sadness, but knowing you are with the Lord brings joy. Till we meet again ❤️

Deidre You are a beautiful soul, and have touched the lives of many, leaving wonderful memories in your wake. I am thankful for your friendship, laughter, and support in good times and not such good times. I miss you, and will miss you everyday. You made broken look beautiful, strong invincible. You loved God and, you loved life, even though life didn’t always seem to love you back. Words cannot express the sorrow, and sadness I feel at your loss. You may be gone from sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. Your memory is a treasure, and you will be missed beyond measure. ❤️

Dearest Deidre I stood in my kitchen where we once had long conversations about life. This will always be etched on my memory as I remember the young woman you were. Determined to succeed in all that you did and passionate about education. Your desire to achieve was always at the forefront, a close second to God a great example to many. We had some deep chats about how to manoeuvre the challenges that came with life. I am sad that you are gone and in my heart you will be always. Your love for God was first in your heart and you gave that a good go. Strong woman raising a daughter to be confident in who she is. We miss you terribly, still can’t believe you’re gone. One thing I know is that you’re no longer in pain. Rest in eternal peace.

May you find peace in the Bossom of our Lord and Saviour. Rest well

Tribute to Deirdre Ann Deirdre Ann, my dearest friend… I can’t believe I’m sitting here today, writing this. This is something I never imagined I’d be doing—especially not so soon. My heart is broken. My mind is all over the place. I remember meeting Deirdre in our twenties. I was already a single mum, and we were part of the London Church of Christ. Then in walked this beautiful Caribbean girl, and we clicked straight away. We spent so much time together. She embraced my son Yemi with all her heart and energy, and from that moment, we became close. We ended up joining a dance group with a few others, like Lee. We performed in all kinds of community halls—many of them dusty and worn—but we didn’t care. We danced, we laughed, and a true friendship blossomed. Every Sunday after church, I’d somehow always end up at her flat. We’d laugh until our stomachs hurt and watch movies for hours before I finally headed home late into the night. Oh, how I miss those days. Then Deirdre got married, and even with life moving on, our friendship stayed strong. I remember the day she got engaged and asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I was so surprised—“No way!” I said—but there I was, standing by her side on that beautiful day in church. Then came Seven. And now, here we are—holding onto memories that feel both near and far. You had a laugh that was absolutely contagious—so much so that you’d start coughing from laughing too hard. You had such a big, generous heart, and you weren’t afraid to say what needed to be said. You stood firm in your truth, always unafraid to live boldly. You lived life. You had dreams and plans, and you were a wonderful mum to Seven. You were also a second mum to my son. I could never have completed my degree in Paris without you. You took care of Yemi like he was your own while I was away for three months. I will never, ever forget that. On my wedding day, I remember you looking at me and saying, “You should have done this in church, not at the registry—too many people here!” That was so you. Honest, unfiltered, but always coming from love. You loved me. You never judged me. You accepted me completely and allowed me to be myself—and I thank you for that. Clearly, God has plans for you now. Maybe Heaven needed someone to laugh the way you do—so full and free—or someone to give the way you always gave. Thank you for your laughter, your honesty, and your unwavering loyalty. Thank you for choosing me as your friend. And I choose you back. Always. We’re going to miss you so much, Deirdre. My heart aches for the loss, but it overflows with gratitude for having known you. Thank you, my friend. Thank you.

I’m still in shock hearing you’ve gone so soon. You were always close to our family with the Trinidad connection you had with our family. You were part of our family that’s why this hurts. You will be missed, rest in peace Deidre-Ann

Dear Deirdre I will never forget the times we had in church, you told it how it was, you was always straight forward in talking. I will never forget your wedding, it was beautiful and different and that’s why you stood out because you was unique. We will miss you Deirdre

Emmanuel Addo22 Apr 2025

I had the privilege and honour of meeting and connecting with you when we both fellowshipped at the Fairfield hall, Croydon; almost two decades ago. Hearing of your passing to glory came as a deep shock to me; however, I still rejoice in the Godly truth that your call was divine. You’re now at rest and at peace in His Presence, where there is fullness of joy and pleasures eternal at His Right Hand. You’re now a certified member of the cloud of witnesses who are interceding on our behalf. Rest well my dearest Deidre until we meet again at the marriage supper of the Lamb; in a world where pain, suffering and the worries of this world do not exist; in a world where there is no more separation but rather rejoicing and joy unspeakable. May God guide and protect all whom you left behind in the earth, that all will come to His Saving Knowledge. Shalom
