Florence Ellen Mary Wilding, known to her friends as Ellen, passed away peacefully on November 9th at Ealing Hospital, London, at the age of 93.
She was an only child, born to Arthur and Ellen Ablett on 7th August 1931 in Bow, East London. After school, Ellen trained as a hairdresser going on to open her own salon in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
She met Anthony (Tony) Joseph Paul Wilding at dance classes and they married on 22nd September 1956. They went on to have three children, Mark, Claire and Andrew. By the time of her death Ellen was the proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by them all.
The funeral service will be held at Breakspear Crematorium, Ruislip, Middlesex on Thursday 5th December at 12.30 pm with refreshments afterwards at The Woodman in Breakspear Road.
Ellen loved flowers, it was her wish to be taken to her funeral in a traditional horse-drawn carriage and surrounded by flowers.
