I’m so sad, we will miss him. I met him many time at armwrestling tournaments in the last 25 years. I’ll always remember his sense of humor, his polite manners. Always smiling and positive. RIP my friend.

To my dear friend Granville We shared time at primary school and we shared time at secondary school, we shared time on the dance floor & we shared time as friends but not I share my time with sorrow over your loss my dear friend. You fought lots of Marshall arts tournaments but this was your biggest fight which took you away from us Sleep now as your fight for survival is over and your wonderful smile and approach to life’s challenges will be misted by us all. What a wise and wonderful man you were G. A friend to everyone at Roehampton Club. A role model for men. You always had time for everyone, especially the ladies and you never ever wore a frown. You constantly conducted yourself with grace. Karen and I will miss your company so much and you randomly calling in for dinner, a beer, a whiskey or port. We have shed a few tears for you brother but we also smile in the memory of sharing a small part of our lives with you and you will remain forever in our hearts. Mark & Karen x

Granville was a dear & much Loved friend. We shared so much in the time we knew each other.From the time we met at age 13 at Elliott school to the times before he passed. We worked together. We played together. From working on our paper rounds to working together at petticoat lane maket.on the plate stall,to working in the llimb fitting centre roehampton.we went on holiday in italy together, french trips. Granville and I we’re. also competitive sportsmen.Granville a very good footballer on that right wing. We also competed in athletics together. Went swimming together many sundays both indoor and outdoors.Granville and I.would also spend many hours on the dance floor together.My dear friend will be greatly missed but the Love between us will always be there. Granville was one of best friends in the arm wrestling world, we would always share a hotel room together, always in good mood, fantastic company and will be sory missed. Tony the lunatic

You were an amazing listener and friend, and never judgemental, I don’t know anyone else like you. thank you for being a part of our family for soooo long. You’ve seen the kids grow up, then watched their children grow up. you are the only true gentleman I’ve ever known. So kind, funny, happy and respectful. For sure you’re one in a million. we all feel so grateful to have had you in our lives for so long. Mr G, what can I say? You were the most genuine, happy, funny, unjudgmental and amazing man I knew. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for my family and I and thank you for being you. Granville, You were a true gentleman with a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. You were a great funny guy with a great sense of humour who always looked smart in whatever you wore and had a very lovely calming voice, which I will miss. Thank you for all the good memories we shared from Noel’s high impact classes to nights in Winners Wine Bar or dancing the nights away in Cheers. RIP my special friend and please look after my Dad. When I first meet Granville I thought ” boy that man looks like Eddie Murphy”, he was welcoming and had a smile that would make you smile with a sense of humour to match. Granville was a true gentleman, charismatic and very dapper. A good friend with a heart of gold but suffers fools lightly. You will be missed Granville but still loved. Be at peace my friend and keep smiling.x

Dearest G, Remembering all the time we have spent together, the meals out, BBQ’s and fun visiting places. We now often sit in our garden, and think of you awhile, remembering wonderful moments, and our sadness becomes a smile. I’ve known from 1991 from the Armwrestling circuit and it is a pleasure knowing you and all the laughs we use to have for many years and though I stopped Armwrestling in 1996 and we didn’t have much contact after, you and all the other Armwrestling was always in my heart, I will always remember you as a cool calm and collected friend with a great smile.
