In loving memory of Joanne, a deeply loved mum and grandmother. She leaves behind her son, Daniel, and her treasured granddaughter, Ayla, who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Joanne was extremely kind and generous, with a quick, witty sense of humour that could light up any room. She absolutely loved to cook for people; if she cooked for you, you knew you were loved. She was very house proud and poured the same care into her home and garden, creating warm, beautiful spaces where family and friends always felt welcome.

She will be missed beyond words, but her love, laughter, and the comfort of her cooking and home will stay with us always

Joanna gave me several memories as a child together with her son that i will never forget. From first experiencing Caribbean food riding in her cars in areas of london i would later establish to cartoon movies that still carry on till this day. Regardless of the challenges life may have given her she never showed it as queens do. God bless her soul and protection to her loved ones she guides from above. A+

My memories of Jo, mainly come from being a child, when Daniel and I would be playing at her house or the two of us were being driven together in the back of her Jeep. I thought of her as someone who was always full of life, even back then. She had so much personality and presence; you always knew when Jo was in the room. She was a strong woman who stood for what she believed. Such a loss, someone who will always be missed and I pray that she is now in peace. God rest her soul as she watches over Daniel, Ayla and the rest of her loved ones.

Some of my earliest childhood memories of playing gogos on daniel’s doorstep to then being invited in by his mum Jo. I can still remember the strong smell of vanilla in the air and the beautiful home that she had created by herself. Being taken with Daniel to get his first dog, staying up late playing goosebumps on the pc and the time we got a caramel sundae before seeing ‘the bent up man’ are memories that will stay forever. As a child you think wow this lady has everything but as you become an adult you realise just how much effort and struggle she must have experienced in order to put all this in place for the person she loved the most, and that person was her daniel. It takes a truly special person to have that sort of determination to give both her and daniel the home they both deserved. Her love for her son made her go above and beyond, and is quite easily the strongest women I’ve ever known.

I went to primary school with Daniel, and even now, whenever we see each other, it feels as though we are still ten years old. That bond has never faded. Daniel is a kind man who loves his family deeply, loyal, gentle, and soft-hearted. Growing up, I always remember Jo as so glamorous. She carried herself with such grace. As an adult, whenever I saw her, she was always warm and generous with her words, quick to offer a compliment and kindness that made you feel seen. But meeting Jo again as a mum myself, I came to know a deeper side of her. In September 2025, Jo and I met for a coffee and spoke about life. It is a conversation I hold very dearly. I remember so clearly the love she expressed for Daniel and for her granddaughter Ayla,it was pure, proud, and unwavering. I pray over Daniel and his family, that healing and calm are brought into their lives. Please Lord, rest upon this family and cover them in your love. X

Jo, my beautiful friend, I am heartbroken by your loss. You were a truly beautiful soul, always generous, always welcoming, always making sure no one ever left your home hungry. You had such elegance, creativity, and warmth. You have inspired me with your home creativity, the little, simple touches that made your house and garden as special as you were. From painting a radiator to transform a pallet into a garden bar. Making your home and garden feel truly magical. You had a gift for turning the ordinary into something beautiful. Your love for Ayla and your son Danny was extraordinary and unwavering. Family meant everything to you. I will miss your voice, our laughter, and the way we could pick up exactly where we left off, no matter how much time had passed. You were the friend who always reached out, always remembered, always cared. You were brave, strong, and never afraid to speak up for what mattered. I will miss you beautiful, my darling Jo. Sleep well.

My deepest condolences goes out to Danny and Ayla. Jo loved them both with every inch of her soul and was so very proud of them. Jo was a very dear friend who I have known most of my life. She was beautiful, glamourous, generous, super intelligent, creative, strong, lived life on her own terms and was so ridiculously funny! Jo lit up every room she entered. We laughed and cried together so much over the years and me and my daughters have lovely memories that we will cherish forever. Jo loved to entertain and showed her love through cooking lovely food with cake and custard! You will always be in our hearts, I loved you very much and I will never forget you. RIEP my beautiful friend. Sam, Shanice and Tiana ❤️

Our Jo. Firstly, we thank God, for blessing us with his precious daughters presence. To know Jo is to love Jo. Her beautiful smile lit any room she walked in. Always classy, with an abundance of glam, all day, every day. The first day I saw Jo I thought OMG when I grow up I want to be just like her, always sweet, friendly, poised and gracious. Over time, we began to exchange small talk until she became a friend/motherly figure. Our talks about her life experiences helped me to understand my own mother better. And, how affording grace helps everyone because everyday we grow we are all just figuring it out. It was at this time, I heard all about her wonderful world, Daniel and her granddaughter. Whenever she spoke of them she spoke with so much joy and love. Daniel and Ayla be comforted in the mass love that we all have for Jo and know that she lived life to the fullest with you both being the cornerstones of her soul. Sleep in Glamdise beautiful xxx

In loving memory of a truly beautiful woman. She was stylish, classy, and full of life, with a wonderful sense of presence and grace. Intelligent, kind, and warm-hearted, she had a sharp sense of humour and a way of making people feel at ease. I met Jo when I was young, and even then she showed such kindness and respect — she had a rare ability to treat everyone with dignity, regardless of age. As a young girl, I was so inspired by Jo; she had real pizzazz, the kind of woman you admired and never forgot. She will be remembered with great affection and fondness by all who knew her. With heartfelt condolences to Daniel and the family at this very difficult time. Rest in Perfect Peace Jo’♥️♥️♥️✨

Jo was a blessing to the world and we are all richer for knowing her.   She lives on in Dani and Ayla.   So many years of beautiful memories  happy, sad and everything in between.  In 1988 she was ‘80’s fly in the ‘90s she was just fabulous.  Always an originator never an imitator.  A style setter, go getter a  comedienne and performer extraordinaire.  Gone too soon.  I loved you.  We were good to each other.  Systems shaped us and I got you and you got me.  Thank you for everything and for ‘seeing’ me. Our conversation wasn’t over until it was.  I know you have the Angels in awe, crying and rolling around with laughter.   But rest now your work is done.   Be at peace you have found the lost piece of your heart.  Until I see you again.  Samantha

My Dearest Jojo, Bold, beautiful, strong—and yet so fragile in the ways only you could be. You carried empathy like it was armor, thoughtfulness in every word, love in every gesture. But you never flinched from standing on business, ten toes down, back straight. Always real. Always you. You were my sister, my mother, my safe place, my mirror, my laugh when I needed it most. You were truly one of a kind. Fashionable, creative, endlessly curious, obsessed with true crime—who will I discuss cases with now, Ma? Who will match my energy in the way only you could? Your home, your love for Danny and Ayla, your cooking, your music, your spirit—they can’t be quantified. You poured yourself into everything, and we all felt it. We laughed together, cried together, partied together, ate together… shared life in a way only we could. And now, without you, it all feels impossibly empty. I miss you in ways words can’t hold. My heart aches for your voice, your presence, your fierce love. But I hold you here, in every memory, every story, every piece of life we shared. You were extraordinary, Jojo. You always will be. Rest, my Queen. Rest.

My earliest memory of Aunty Joanne is her picking me and my brother up from Nursery with my mum (1996 approx). Then later when we arrived home, Aunty gave us a Super Nintendo. I could type multiple times where Aunty brought joy into my life personally; Aunty bought us toys, games, VHS, Dvd etc. One favourite memory is simply just walking down the road and both of us agreeing that the weather on that day was perfect; not too hot or cold at all (2003/4). Then Aunty decided to buy me a pair of Nike air dunks just because we walked by Trainer store. The last one I’ll share is her driving us back to her home, playing music on the car, then ‘Method Man and Busta Rhymes – What’s Happenin’ came on the radio. I said “Ohh I like this song”, Aunty said “yeah, I like it too” with a smile on her face, then we both started bopping to the tune in the car with a little laughter. I wish I could tell her that I always loved her.. I will miss her until it’s impossible for me to miss. I don’t like to believe. But this is the first time I’ve really hoped that an afterlife is real.
