Dear Mark, dear Joyce’s family.and friends I could not keep the tears at bay, when I heard about Joyce’s premature departure from us all. I won’t ever forget the wonderful Christmas party, our vivid discussions about Dior vs Chanel clutches and the vibrant, lively, alluring person that was Joyce – a wife, sister, daughter and in-law family member and friend sorely missed. Sometimes words are not sufficient for describing someone’s loss, so I won’t even attempt to. She will be missed. Thankfully you’re letting her light live on with what you’re doing in her name. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. My deepest condolences.

Dear Mark and family, Though I never had the privilege of knowing Joyce personally, her radiant spirit clearly touched countless lives. In this profound moment of transition, may you find comfort knowing that the beautiful essence she shared continues to illuminate hearts and minds. Her journey of growth and learning remains eternal, whilst the love and wisdom she gifted each of you becomes part of your own evolving path forward. With deepest sympathy and spiritual embrace.

Dear Mark, Elizabeth and siblings, my sincere and deepest condolences to you all . I have known Joyce since from her age of 13/14 and played an important part in her life by gaining the trust and loyalty of looking after her hair. We built a bond and she would follow me to where ever I was located and that’s what I call loyal . I will always have fond memories of her driving me mad with trying to get her hair to a certain length . Joyce, may you RIEP . Forever Honoured and Grateful to have known you. Steve ♥️♥️♥️

A Tribute to My Beautiful Friend, Joyce I first met Joyce in our early twenties, and from that very first chapter she became one of the most important people in my life. We formed a deep, natural friendship — the kind that shapes you, steadies you, and stays with you no matter how life changes. Joyce had a gift for guiding others with clarity, compassion, and focus, and she carried me through some of the hardest stages of my life simply by being who she was. I will always remember being in New York with her, and her father telling us the story of how Joyce got her name — that it came from the joy her parents felt at having her. It stayed with me then, and it stays with me now, because that same joy radiated from Joyce her whole life. She brought light, warmth and happiness to everyone lucky enough to cross her path, and she shared that joy so generously with the world. Our friendship grew as we grew. I had the honour of standing beside her as a bridesmaid on her wedding day as she started married life with Mark. She became godmother to my eldest child, Issabelle — reflections of the trust and love woven between us. Though life took us in different directions, whenever we found our way back to each other, it was as if no time had passed at all. We slipped straight back into that easy, instinctive understanding… a complete synergy that only true soul-level friendships have. I believed we would have those reunions forever, and the thought that we won’t breaks my heart in ways I can hardly put into words. My love and deepest condolences go to everyone whose life Joyce touched — and there will be so many — but especially to her family and her amazing husband, Mark. Her loss is immeasurable, her absence unthinkable, and her memory everlasting. Rest peacefully, my beautiful friend. Thank you for the joy you brought into this world. You will always be part me.

Condolences to Mark and all of Joyce’s family. I still can’t believe I’m writing this. It doesn’t feel real. Joyce was one of my closest friends, and I’m still in disbelief that she’s gone. Joyce was my gym buddy, and eventually our friendship grew into something much deeper. She was full of life, warmth, and determination, someone I could talk to for hours about life, goals, and everything in between. I will always remember her laughter, her strength, and her incredible drive to make things happen. She inspired me more than she ever knew. Sending all my love and deepest sympathy to Mark and everyone who loved her. She will never be forgotten. Cynthia

Mark and Family. I don’t know where to start. Heartbroken that I couldn’t be there today but watched from a far with many tears in disbelief. Joyce was more than a best friend, she was family. We met over 20 years ago at Lush, and spent our weekends smelling of soap and then heading out to dance at every opportunity we could get. Joyce was one of my first friends in London and has been there through every milestone since. She taught me so much, she was a shining light in my life and words just can’t describe the impact she has made. I can’t believe I’m moving back to London soon and she won’t be there. She really did light up every room she walked into. My prayers and love are with all of you, I’m so sorry

So sorry for your loss 🙁

I was truly shocked and saddened to hear this very sad news. I was one of Joyce’s managers at Lush in Victoria Station — she would have been around 17 at the time. I’ve been reading about everything she went on to achieve, and I can honestly say I always knew she would do well. She was a young girl who loved fashion and absolutely loved her Dior saddle bag (I’m sure it was Dior!). She really did make an impression on me and on our customers. Joyce was funny, bright, and a little mischievous at times — so much so that I had to tell her off now and then (LOL) — but she was special, and she was unforgettable. She did good. She truly did. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
