In Memory Of

Personal note

A personal note from the family

At this tragic time we invite family and close friends to remember mother, wife, daughter and dearly loved friend Juliet Laverty (née Trew).

  • We are restricting invitations to the funeral and the reception to those directly invited by the family, please reach out to Mark Laverty if you have any questions.

The family wishes to extend deep gratitude for the kindness, support, comforting messages, calls, flowers, cards and gifts during this time of bereavement.

Dress: Juliet loved colour and we would prefer the clothes you wear reflect this

What can I do? A question many people ask. Juliet was a great organiser (work and personal), and it meant a lot to her when people arranged nice things to do together, so please do that with others that knew her and perhaps 1 day for Max so her influence lasts for years to come

Donations: Juliet was an incredible Mummy to Max and just 1 small, of a million, things she did was help other children via the NSPCC and their lovely initiative, which we would like to recommend to you:

Many people have asked about donations, please use the justgiving link on the page for these 2 charities that resonate most:

  • Thrombosis UK to raise awareness, improve support and prevent deaths from blood clots
  • The Fertility Foundation helps those who need financial assistance and emotional support with their fertility journey

About Juliet's Life

Juliet Laverty died on 2nd February, 2024 suddenly from a blood clot on her lung caused by a DVT upon arrival at Heathrow airport, following a work trip to Dallas. Despite the best efforts of kindly members of the public, air crew and Paramedics they were unable to bring Juliet back to complete her journey home to her husband Mark and 4 year old son Max, who along with Juliet’s parents, sister, family, friends and colleagues are devastated and miss her deeply.

Juliet was born on 6th July, 1982 in Enfield, where she was raised by Alison and Tim Trew alongside sister Rosie. She attended Latymer school and Keele University where she studied English and American Studies, and worked in Events which took her around the world, primarily in the Aviation sector, where her career was blossoming and she was destined for great things.

Juliet loved organising her friends, she was sociable, fun and her distinctive and infectious laugh lit up any occasion. She adored literature, theatre and music, always seeking out new experiences, and travel whether through work or personally. Most of all she loved her little boy, and always had a plan, activity, outing or simple fun to shower her love on him. She will be hugely missed and will live on in us.
