My cousin Mark, we didn’t see a lot of each other but when we did, we both always had plenty to say. Sharing stories of his cycling and of course his beloved land rover! We used to see each other at family parties and have a good catch up on our latest adventures. These photos were taken at my Mum’s 80th birthday party in her garden in Aylesham on 24 Sept 2016 taken with other members of the family! His smile says everything and this is how I will always remember him. Such a lovely person and he will be truly missed! My heart goes out to all his family at this very sad time. RIP Mark
I have some great memories of Mark during are younger years, growing up together, camping as kids at Camber Sands, the great family parties we had at Grandads. Mate you will be sadly missed, it was great meeting you at my Mum’s birthday last September. RIP Mark or Leonard, as I am a Leonard too. With Love Dale, Sandra, Lyle and Rylan.

Always being silly…
❤️
Mark never failed to put a smile on your face. Always doing silly things and having a Simpsons quote for every occasion. His legacy is his beautiful, kind, thoughtful children who have grown up to be adults any parent would be proud of.
There is only one month between Mark and his cousin Graham, Mark being the eldest. They grew up more like brothers than cousins and have stayed close to this day. They were always up to mischief…mainly instigated by guess who? Mark has been a constant in Graham’s life and visited him weekly after his stroke. He will leave such a gap in our lives that cannot be filled.
This might look like a lovely photo, well it is but there is much more behind it. Its Charlotte, Marks niece sitting next to him on Boxing Day at mum and dad’s. Mark would say every year “Charlotte, come and sit next to me” At that time Charlotte didn’t eat a wide variety of food so Mark would literally eat all the best bits off of her plate. It became a running joke every year!
In North Wales doing the longest zip wire in the world. Which one is Mark…second from left…using the opposite arm to everyone else
When Mark was about 17 we used get lots of girls knocking on the door to ask if Leif Garrett lived there. We just said yes but he was busy. It used to drive him mad. Looking back now, he was much better looking than Leif!
Mark breathed the joy of living and above all was curious about everything, with a heart as big as the world and always a beautiful and good thought for all his loved ones. When he spoke of his children, his eyes lit up, hewas so proud of them. He enjoyed spending time with them and always looked forward to their visit as well as family outings and reunions. He was always positive in his actions. Il was Mark laughing, enjoying life, always ready for to go cycling,a new adventure, travel plans. I remember during the Tutankhamun exhibition in Paris, he couldn’t help but try on the Egyptian headdress and have fun with it. All the people who met Mark in have kept good memories and happy moments shared. We will miss him
so many memories of Mark and his cousin Graham, riding on their tricycles along the promenade at Folkestone and always wanting to go down the long zig zag path with no thought as to how to get back up again. Getting tipsy on Dubonnet at my parents house in Roehampton aged around 7 years, neither could stop giggling. I am so thankful for their lifetime friendship and how Mark unselfishly took the strain off me when Graham had his stoke
This is one of Mark and his best Friend, Trevor! As best man he (and the groom) certainly knew how to don suits and haircuts that can only he described as fashionable for the time.
The photograph shows Jane & Max with Christine & Mark at Little John in Elham, Kent. The service was beautiful yesterday and Grace, Austin and Jackson spoke well and movingly as did the leader. Of course it was a sad day but it was lovely to see everyone and say some small words and share some hugs and memories of Mark. We’ll never forget those long summer days on Nana & Grandads lawn nor those cosy winter days around the tea table at Little John or around the blazing fire in the living-room playing dominoes or scrabble. Vale, Mark
I would like to say that Mark will always be “the best thing that ever happened to me”. As in the words of Gladys Knight and the Pips song. There is always a place in my heart for Mark. X
I am so sorry for your loss. I used to work with Mark over 40 years ago. We lost touch when he went to work in Saudi and although I tried many times to reconnect over the years my searches came up with nothing. I’m so sad that the one search that worked, revealed his passing. We worked together in Golders Green and often I would ride pillion on his motorbike, which was always challenging for Mark as I’m 6’2! Lots of fond memories. Rest in Peace Mark.
