Leslie's Life Story
He was christened Leslie Reynald Tyndale and born February 25th 1936 in the District of Williamsfield, in the Parish of Manchester, Jamaica and was the second-born, of twin boys born, to Wilburt Tyndale and Maybel Reid-Tyndale.
Leslie, at 7 years old, meet Joyce Fearon who later would become his wife, while attending Wesley School aka McIntosh Memorial in Manchester, Jamaica. He grew up to enjoy working with his hands training as a carpenter.
Looking for a better life, Leslie arrived in London, England in 1961 and obtained employment with British Railway. He worked in railway station maintenance, driving all across the country and was even sent abroad. He worked until retirement in 1994.
Leslie enjoyed retelling stories of growing up in Jamaica, watching wrestling (Big Daddy, Giant Haystack and Mick McManus were his favourite wrestlers), playing cards and dominoes particularly with his brothers, making things with his hands, traveling and helping his friends when the opportunity presented itself. In his later years he enjoyed being an active member of and attending his church College Park Baptist Chapel and enjoying cooking for his grandchildren.
Leslie was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge, patience and guidance was the foundation of his family.
His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile & fortitude.
Leslie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce; children, Garry ( & daughter-in-law Fiammetta Veronesi-Tyndale) and Doreen (& son-in-law Kevin Lyles Jr); grandchildren, Ariana, Yasmin, Jordan; siblings, Horace Tyndale (twin), Roy Tyndale, Frank Tyndale, Leroy Richard, Winston Richard, Winifred Tyndale (deceased), sisters Ena Dixon, Masie Saunders (deceased), Enid Tyndale (deceased) and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral Details
College Park Baptist Church (Clarendon Rise, London SE13 5ES) for the service at 11:00, followed by Burial at Hither Green Cemetery at 13:30

(14)I am Kesha(Harry) daughter. I Knew Les all my life. He always had a smile. When I was little he made me a dolls wardrobe which I loved.He was a wonderful friend to my dad.
My sincere condolences to all the family. I have known Brother Les for many years. He was so kind and supported to everyone. May God Bless him and his soul Rest in Peace.
Big brother leslie ( little man )I have so many memories of my brother leslie he was a dress up kind of guy very neat every strand of hair always in place I remember one day I did something wrong and he told me to get the belt because he was going to flag me when I hand him the belt he smiled at me .he never beats me I knew then that he did love me and I love him very much and I will always love him rest in peace my brother Winston.
Uncle Les was a wonderful person. I’ve known him from the age of 11 years. He was like a father to me. Always there for our family. He was a very special person in our lives and very much loved. We will miss him dearly. Rest in peace until we meet again. Indira & Zab

Anthony (Tony) Tyndale: Uncle (little man) Leslie was one of my favorite uncles in the world. He was one of a kind. Uncle was always checking on us (Winnie pickiny dem)to see how we were doing. Every holiday you can rest assure that we were getting some English sterling pound. My dad always talked about his brother (little man) not leaving his transistor radio and was always well dressed (clean). He will be greatly missed. Rest in power uncle

I will always remember my mum taking me to see my uncle Leslie on the weekend as a child. I would always look forward to those visits as would always play with my cousins and have fun. My uncle was a good man with a good heart will who will be sorely missed.

You have been on my mind for months going onto years I knew, I was running out of time. I often tell my partner and son that you was my mothers (Patricia Brown) favourite uncle, mine too. You decorated my room a beautiful pink and I am sure if I look hard enough I will find some green pencils from when you worked on the trains. You was so kind with a beautiful smile that lighted up your eyes. Thank you for everything you have done for me rest in sweet peace your going home to family. love you always Felicia + Aaron xx
