Marcus Rohan Kibel transitioned to glory at 11 PM on Friday, July 22, 2023, in London, United Kingdom where he has been leaving the past 20 years. He was in hospital receiving treatment.
Marcus was born on January 09, 1965, in Melbourne, Australia to Dr Colin and Elise Kibel. Marcus grew up mostly in Melbourne where he graduated from hunting tower high school. After graduation, he attended Swinburne university of technology, Melbourne where he earned a B.A in psychology and sociology (1988). He attended Monash University, Melbourne (1989) and graduated with a Diploma in educational psychology. He continued on at Monash University for his Master of Forensic Psychology (1993). He was a member of Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) He worked as a mental health assessor in Brisbane, Australia, as a senior forensic psychologist in Queensland Department of Corrective Services and had a private practice.
Marcus migrated to United Kingdom March 2003, (his ancestorial home in the 1800s). He became member of Health and Care professions council (HCPC) and continued his career journey. Marcus was very proud of his commitment to working with forensic patients the past 20 years.
Marcus yielded the call and gave his life to Jesus Christ in 2007. Devoted his time to serve in the church, completed theology and Christian counselling courses. His strong Christian faith helped shape his outlook on life. He believes and see hope in everything and everyone. He supported Demelza charity. Marcus battled many health conditions, but it never stopped him from living life to the fullest. He used his free time to write a novel (Conundrum), enjoyed travelling, cinema, and enjoying different culinary cuisines. He is survived by his wife (Tracy), his aged parents (Colin and Elsie Kibel), his siblings Nigel and Vanessa, his uncle, Aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Marcus was a devoted loving husband, son, brother, and uncle and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of his life service will be held on August 31 st , 2023, 10: 00 am at; Eltham crematorium, Crown Woods Way, London SE9 2AZ. Refreshment at St Mary’s Community Centre, 180 Eltham High St, London SE9 1 BJ.
