Obituary

About Marie Agnes's Life

Marie Agnes Haydon was born to Richard and Winifred Haydon at the Wanstead hospital on the 16th of April 1958. They lived in Walthamstow where she grew up alongside her beloved brother John.

Marie married in October 1979, becoming Mrs. Marie Turner and had her first child, Paul in April 1982 at the age of 23.
Her second child, John followed in February 1984. Then her third child, Michael in December 1988.

Marie had a long career with the NHS and worked as a Healthcare Assistant at Whipps Cross Hospital. She always took care of those who needed it the most and after leaving the NHS, continued caring for the elderly as a home visitor carer. Marie was forced to stop work for medical reasons in 2020 following a series of health concerns.

Marie enjoyed passing her free time doing jigsaw puzzles as well as crosswords and other brain teaser puzzles. Marie’s passion was reading – she had a rather large collection of “cheesy” romantic novels by ‘Mills & Boon’ to name just one.
Marie was a sucker for monkeys… she would have adopted one if she could have.
Marie had many cats over the years whom she loved, Jessie in particular, held a special place in her heart.

Marie was a rock for her family in times of stress and hardship and always did her best for her children and those close to her.
Marie is survived by her three sons, Paul, John and Michael and her two grandsons Kevin and Martin.

Mum, grandma, you will be sorely missed but never forgotten and forever in our hearts.
