Marion's Life Story
Marion Lyra Pearl Dee sadly passed away on 26th May 2023, of Vascular Dementia. She was 88 years old.
Marion, known as Pearl to family and friends was born on 9th May, 1935 in Trinidad, West Indies to Oliver and Agatha Clementina Thompson.
Although Pearl considered England as home, her heart and roots remained in Trinidad, which she visited as often as she could.
Pearl arrived in England in the 1960’s and worked part time at Lyons Maid Ice Cream. In the mid 70s, she was employed by the NHS, as an auxiliary nurse at Roxbourne Geriatric Hospital until retirement.
Pearl is survived by 7 children (Carlton, Jacqui, Peter, Anne-Marie, Nolan, Gina and Brendan), 18 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephew.
Mum/Nan/Sister/Auntie will be sadly missed.Funeral Details
