Obituary

About Mark's Life

Alison, Mark’s Mum:

Mark, he was a lovely little boy, always willing to help and very chatty.  When it comes to childrens’ parties I could be organising games for Mark, and he just seemed to enjoy getting everyone involved, making life very easy for me.  He could be relied upon to get cards and presents for Birthdays, Christmas and Anniversaries.  He was an extremely loving and understanding boy, young man, and as a mature man he leaves a huge hole in all our lives.  We miss him so much.

Chelvan, Mark’s husband:

“We Two Are Now One”

This was the last line in Mark’s vows to me at both our civil partnership in 2006 and subsequent marriage in 2015.  We met on Mark’s birthday, 6 October 2001, and shared nearly 23 years together.   We were starting the next chapter of our lives together.

Mark is/was my Beautiful, Beloved Soulmate and will continue to be so – this is not going to change.  I have a life-long commitment to Mark’s spirit and legacy.  He continues to be my rock and will guide me on this journey to fulfil our shared dreams and goals.  Our Love Is Invincible.  I love you so much.

Sue, Mark’s sister and Ian, Sue’s partner.

As children growing up together, Mark always managed to make a simple game more fun using his imagination to keep us entertained.  He went from that boy to a man, with that genuine smile, making friends with ease as he journeyed through life.  He made Ian feel so welcomed into the family, not just a gentleman but a gentle man, too.

To my brother Mark … not in a million of years would I have thought you would leave us so suddenly.  You were a wonderful brother, husband and son.  The Ying to Dr. C’s Yang – soulmates from the beginning.  You still had so much to give, that I can’t believe you are no longer here .. love you, safe journey Mark.
