Molly Bany

Molly Seerattan was born in Trinidad in 1940, her parents passed away when she was young and she was raised by her aunt and her husband, Phyllis and Alex Joseph. She worked in Perera bookstore in San Fernando, Trinidad before leaving for England to become an NHS nurse.

It was while training as a nurse that she met the love of her life, Ignace Bany (known to many as Terry), to whom she was married in 1970 and inseparable until Terry's passing in 2016.

They lived in North London from 1970 and in Palmers Green from 1980, Molly worked for the majority of this time as a Theatre nurse in North Middlesex Hospital, not fully retiring until 2006.

Molly and Terry were active in their respective Masonic and religious communities did a lot of charitable work within them.

Molly sadly passed on 13th September 2024.
