The family wishes to extend deep gratitude to all, for the prayers, support, comforting messages, calls, flowers, cards and gifts during this difficult time of bereavement.
Monica was loved by so many and we know will be deeply missed.
For the church service we would ask that guests please arrive at 10:30am for an 11am start.
Please wear any colour, with a touch of blue, Monica’s favourite colour.
Following the service, Monica will be laid to rest at 1:30pm at Grove Park Cemetery, Marvels Lane, London, SE12 9PU

Monica Denise Russell was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, partner and friend. She left this world suddenly on July 9, 2022 at the age of 52. Monica was born to Doslin Kenyon and Mervin Russell on 10th September 1969, in Lambeth, London. Before her retirement, due to ill health, Monica most recently worked as a Social Worker and before this as a civil servant and was a loyal and dedicated employee. She always worked hard, making so many friends along the way.
Monica led a very active work, social and family life but over the last five years Monica’s battle with MSA meant that she was no longer able to do the things she so much enjoyed. Nevertheless Monica continued to put on a brave face and continue to be the glue that held all the family together.
Monica leaves behind her partner Roland, 4 children, Rosian, Darnell, Nathan and Liyah, and her grandaughter Alaiyah
