Glory be to God for Brother Femi’s life. Growing up, I knew him to be a kind hearted soul. As a very young teenager I use to carry his soccer boots when going for training at GCI field. Moore Plantation Ibadan. I grew up under his care at Lafia Hotel too. I late meet him in London as an adult but the brotherly love was showered over me even after not seeing for years. The last time I saw him was when he visited me at my house in Ibadan. He was with Bisi Ayo and when Bisi said he is going to my house, he followed him, saying he most see his dear aburo Soji.Not knowing he came to say goodbye to me. I was shocked and traumatised when I received the news of the transition of my beloved brother and name sake. In retrospect, I recall that w e first met in the 1970s at Apata, Ibadan, Nigeria and we have remained buddies since then. Ore mi, as I used to call him, was an excellent brother, and friend. He was ever ready to assist and provide guidance. He always enjoyed jokes and loved to laugh which are very good for healthy hearts. He was always full of life whenever and wherever we met. As relations and contemporaries, we share certain things in common. Examples include soccer, politics, and social trends in society. He always spoke his mind frankly. Alas, I can no longer call you on the phone as before to hear your voice! This is extremely painful to me but, the Almighty God knows best. Of course, death is an event ordained by God. As humans, we are powerless… to overrule… to overturn… or to undo this fate, but to pray for healing and courage; we can, and we will. My dear brother and friend, you will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered. My condolences to his loving immediate and extended families. My prayer is that the Lord will give all our families, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and will keep watch over them always. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4). My dear brother, may your Soul Rest in Perfect Peace in Jesus’ name. I met Daddy in year 2020 at EDOF Christmas Party organized by Mommy Princess Arike Oluwafunmilayo. Daddy is a lively,loving and caring father. Daddy I love u n I kw God loves you the most. May your gentle soul continue to rest in peace at the bosom of the Lord. Adieu !!!

Though we never met one on one whilst in this side of the divide but I had the privilege of sharing thoughts with you when I called you up a few times at the instance of your darling sister, Funmi. You always come across as a caring and humble elderly gentleman that will go any length to protect and uphold the larger family. Your demise at this point in time is painful but we pray you find rest in the bosom of your maker.

May God Almighty grant this beautiful soul, an eternal peaceful rest. Heavens have surely gained a very kind soul.

I never met you but people have testified of the beautiful life you had led. You are greatly missed already but our hope is alive through the sweet memories of you. As you depart finally today, may the creator accept you and grant you perfect rest. We love you daddy and your legacy lives on in our hearts.
