Oscar was a fine human being. I have known him for many years as I am his landlord. Every couple of months he used to call me and give me all the letters that’s belong to the shop. I am so Sorry to hear his passing. He was a kind gentleman and a caring human being. It is a real loss. I am very thankful I got to know him.

My condolences to auntie Margo and auntie Gloria. My cousins Val, Anthony and O’Neil, and entire Brathwaite family in the UK. To the Brathwaite, Greaves, Stouts,and Mason’s family in Barbados may you soul rest in peace.

Oscar brathwaite, also known as my Grandfather was a wonderful person to me. Every time we came to see him he would have a huge smile on his face with a warming heart, ready to give me, my brother and llysha kisses on the cheek to welcome us. It’s sad to see such a great man leave this world but I know he’s in a better place. May his beautiful soul rest in peace. I’ll see you again one day, Grandad.

When I heard the news my heart sank, it felt so familiar just like when I heard the news of my dad’s passing. You were like a father to me, always welcoming and always looked out for us. Oscar Brathwaite you were a great granddad and a good father. I’m thankful that you were apart of our life and that they have good memories to remember. You were the only granddad they knew. You were a true gentleman, calm and always immaculately dressed. I didn’t get the chance to thank you or a hug even one more time and it just reminds me that no one knows what tomorrow brings so always love our loved ones now and to make the most of life while living. I pray for strength and Jehovah’s peace that surpasses all understanding to the rest of the family. Your presence may no longer be with us but your memories live on for a lifetime. May your soul be with God and may you rest well. We love you. xx
