Obituary

About Patrick's Life

Patrick Richard Venner Osmond – a lover of life and all it brought. An optimist who was particularly grateful for life after having such a tricky time health-wise a few years ago. He shared the last 25 years with Anna, his constant companion who he met whilst doing an Open University degree and then who travelled with him on many an adventure and whom he loved dearly.

He was always very much a family man who cherished his own and Anna’s children and grandchildren. He loved meeting people and was never happier than when chatting to friends or acquaintances. We have received so many messages with memories or examples of how he touched many lives.

He gave us much advice and we found a list upon his leaving us, it perfectly sums up his wisdom. Below are a few rules for life that he would wish to pass on.
Put apples and chocolate in the fridge
Always park the way in which you wish to leave
Never wear brown shoes with a grey suit
Don’t run (so important it was in twice!)
Look at other’s point of view

May you rest in peace Dad, we love you.
