Paula Panzavechia

It was a pleasure working Paula and I was shocked to hear of her death. My thoughts are with all of the family.

I will always remember Paula as the person who came over to introduce herself to me on my first day at Orbit, saying I could go to her for whatever help I needed. You will be sorely missed by so many people.

I have fond memories of Paula as a youngster. Both Paula and mum would sit in the kitchen and talk for hours. Well I say talk but actually I would often sit with them while they howled with laughter! There was never a serious moment. Paula was a dear friend to my mum and supported her at work. Paula will be greatly missed by all our family ❤️

I worked with Paula at Thamesmead Town where I was also a housing officer and Trade Union Convenor for the Staff side. Paula was one of my shop stewards back in the late 80’s. A gifted woman, full of life and a bundle of laughs, and boy, could that girl laugh ! I am absolutely heartbroken to hear she has passed. Now I will have to wait until I pass before I hear that rapturous laugh again for its only when we die that we get to realise that death doesn’t exist at all. R.I.P. Paula. A truly remarkable member of society who brought happiness to so many people. My sincere condolences to the family. She was a treasure for sure.

I worked with Paula at Orbit as did my husband who was her Caretaker on Arthur Street. She named him Mr Naughty after egging him on to press the lift button continuously after they were told not to do so! Our sincere condolences to the family of whom she was so proud, she will certainly be missed, a truly lovely friend

Hi I knew Paula from a very young age probably 13/14 I remember going in holiday with her and kind lovely Dad I have posted a pic of Paula in our very young days when there were no problems xx fly high precious Paula you are Def missed I loved reading your posts on FB so bonded with your family and grandchildren you was always on a adventure lol and always eating out…it hurts to have to be writing this huge hugs to all her family

I worked with paula at orbit. She Always lit up the office and made everyone smile. She knew so much and was always happy to help others. We kept in touch and shared our new jobs and would often see each other out and about. RIP Paula. The world is a sadder place without you in it xx

I worked with Paula at Hyde Housing, she was a lovely person and always willing to offer assistance. I know how much her family meant to her and offer my sincere condolences.

We are absolutely heart broken for our Paula and her beautiful family. I have always looked at Paula like my aunty and Jason like my Uncle. We have had many family parties together, lots of laughs and lots of dancing.  Paula you are so sadly missed by many, and your memory will live on forever.  Jason, Natalie, Remy and Max, you all made your beautiful wife and mum so proud, she loved you all so much.  Albie and Kaia, nanny loved you both no end, you made her smile every day.  Thinking of you all at this very sad time. I worked with Paula at West Kent Housing many years ago, she was such a lovely lady full of life and fun always going that extra mile to help . She will be missed

My sister Lea and Paula were best friends and I always felt I was not only Lea’s little sister but also Paula’s. When I started as a first year at Riverside Secondary back in 1974, Lea and Paula were third years and the last thing I imagined they wanted was a scrawny little 11 year tagging along, but to my surprise Paula (more than Lea I hasten to add ) didn’t seem to mind me being an interloper, so that was that – I tagged along and probably annoyed the hell out of them in the process by cramping their style Paula, you filled so many people’s lives with so much love and kindness and it has given us all such precious memories which will be cherished forever you will be always loved and forever missed by everyone who knew you Reunited with your beloved Bailey RIP

Where to begin with the great memories with your wife and mum. She accepted me and my kids as her own, she was the person who could sternly but lovingly tell me it’s was time to grow up and be the best mother/person I could be, she was my impromptu babysitter and treated Jake like one of her own, she has given me advice when I needed it, been my cheerleader for whatever new path I was going down and would tell me the truth about the ways I needed to grow and change. I should have told her how much I appreciated her more and there will be so much for us to miss. She was the purest, kind, funny and down to earth person, she’s not going to be forgotten easily. I am so sorry for your loss.

Paula would always be helpful if I needed to know anything, when all the roles changed at Orbit she asked me for help to get her another role, which she got at Peabody, always stayed in touch, I am very saddened by this news, taken too soon, my love and condolences to all the family, RIP Paula x

I am deeply sorry to see you depart. We had such a strong bond our relationship was marked by my stupid Portuguese mixed with English out of flavour jokes. Not only you took them well, you laughed them off and batted it away for 6. Namely when we both used to joke about each others Trampy ways. I’ve learned from you, I laughed with you, we worked hard together, you made my time at work so much more interesting. I will never forget how you made me and everyone around be comfortable in just being themselves. I cherish every moment we shared and still remember the last time we crossed paths physically at London Bridge train station, where Orbit was now a distant memory. My life was enriched for having shared so many moments with you. Rest in Peace my Dear Tramp.

Words cannot describe how shocked and saddened I am to here that Paula is no longer with us. I met her when I joined Peabody in 2018 and she was so polite, helpful and kind. Paula was a great work colleague and we really got on well from day one and we kept in touch even after she left Peabody and we met again during my brief spell at Moat. I am really going to miss you and hope you are in a better place. To the family, please accept my deepest condolences and know I am thinking of you during this time of grieving

I feel privileged to have known such a lovely lady, Paula was a customer of mine and we enjoyed catching up and comparing the joys of owning a Jack Russell. I’m sure Bailey was the first to greet her. Sending my love and condolences to all the family xx

So sorry for your loss. Paula was very kind to me and my sisters when we lost our mother 5 years ago. I have a passion for horses and often post pictures of my horses, Paula always appreciated those posts and clearly admired the beauty of a horse. RIP Paula x

I had the pleasure of briefly working with Paula at Orbit. She was a wonderful lady, she spoke of her family often and how proud she was of them all. This is such a sad loss, my thoughts are with her family who she clearly loved deeply.

I’ll always remember Paula for her sense of humour. As Orbits insurance officer I sometimes had to deal with claims made by her clients. Some were really far fetched and we always had a good laugh about them. She was a lovely no nonsense housing officer who was greatly loved and respected. The world is a sadder place without her. Thank you Paula for being the best roommate I could’ve wished for in Chelsfield as we both enjoyed our mushroom soup and you and Jenni insisted in not letting me suffer with the extra strong pain relief on my own, so many laughs, to your family and friends I hope the memories of the love and life you shared help them through this. Paula had many qualities including a great sense of humour. She was a supportive colleague at Orbit but more importantly a dear friend to me. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. Rest in peace lovely lady.

In complete shock First meet Paula when she worked for Hyde. She was running the students accommodation. Before I knew what was happening I had 2 of her kids working for be.she had a way about her that shine any thing she could do to help people she would. Would come on our Christmas party and wouldn’t leave sobber. What a lovely lady and a great friend she turn into. Dearly will be missed You can now rest peaceful and let ever one else worry R.I.P And fly high.

Saddened to hear of Paula’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her at Orbit and always stopped for a chat and a giggle when I visited the Bexley Office. She was a real tonic and a breath of fresh air ❤️

I worked with Paula at Orbit and still cannot believe she has gone. She came to my 60th party and the coach trip arranged by my Orbit friends to visit me once I had moved to clacton on Sea. Only found out today she had gone. You must have some lovely memories of her as a family but feel very numb at the moment. Very sad news and thinking of you all

Tears are streaming down my face writing this as I just can’t beleive our dearest friend Paula has been taken from us far too soon. I met Paula working for Thamesmead Town and then Hyde Housing. Our families became friends and still are thirty years later. She had a heart of gold, always there to help, such a lovely sense of humour and an absolute delight to be around. We always found time to have a chuckle especially in the office. In particular, we held a wedding rehearsal for Paula, plant pot balancing on her head, coat draped around her shoulders, a make shift bouquet made of scrunched up paper singing at the top of our voices “here comes the bride” when suddenly the Manager walked in. Luckily the pot landed in Paula’s hand, coat was whisked off and she casually walked across the room placing the bouquet in the bin The manager looked flummoxed as she knew something was going on by our rosy cheeked smiley faces but didn’t quite know what. You lit up any room Paula and will be sorely missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace Paula. You will never be forgotten. Xxx

Paula was a truely exceptional colleague, trustworthy, knowledgeable, reliable, professional, supportive and approachable. My thoughts and love go to her family.

Paula was a very valued member of our Retirement and Supported Living Team for London and Sussex at Moat Homes. She was fun, friendly and down to earth and we really miss her. She and I also met when we both worked for Peabody, we were in different teams but managed buildings on the same site in Southwark and met about a gate for the carpark! Housing can be a small world and we ended up in the same team at Moat! She was such an experienced housing professional and so caring of her customers and colleagues. I had the pleasure to work with Paula at both West Kent Housing and Moat. She was always so bubbly and brought a smile to everyone . She is going to be missed so much by us all here at Moat. Love to the family at this very sad time . Jjin x

I worked with Paula (not in the same team) for a couple of years at Peabody, and I remember we’d chat about this and that when we met up; she was so easy to get on with. My colleagues that knew her are shocked that she’s gone. Our thoughts are with Paula’s family at this time.

Paula was tasked to show me around when I first started at Moat. She had a great sense of humour and always made me laugh. It was a great pleasure working with her and the whole team miss her. May her gentle soul rest in peace

I am so sorry to hear this tragic news. Although I only get to know Paula since April 23, Paula’s warmth, dedication and smiles made me feel I know her well. She will be dearly missed by all the residents and us at Moat. All our best regards to Paula’s family.

Loads of love to family, friends and colleagues, it is such a shock and I miss Paula not being there every week in our team meetings and get togethers. Her smile lit up the room(or screen), her humour gave us stitches. In our hearts she will always stay, loved and remembered every day xx

I was so sorry to hear that you’ve lost lovely Paula. She was very well thought of by her team at Hyde and I have many happy memories of working with her at the Woolwich office. She was caring, with a common sense approach that was loved by both colleagues and residents. I always remember her holding my babies when I came into the office for meetings during my maternity leave and her giving me lots of advice of what to expect as they grow up! Paula you are without a doubt a true friend.. You were always there with sound advice and a friend to share a glass or a bottle of bubbles with. I think it was funny that we got married a day apart then our holidays although separate…we went to the same places.. You are so going to be missed by not being here.. I loved you old friend.. and im sure going to miss you. May you rest in eternal peace. Xx
