The family wishes to extend deep gratitude to all, for the prayers, support, comforting messages, calls, flowers, cards and gifts during this time of bereavement.
With unspeakable pain we share news of my father’s passing, taken from us Monday the 29th of January at 9.52am.
Our world has been turned upside down and inside out. We are hurting so much because he gave us everything and now he is gone from us.
Our father, Rajendra Kylaso Pathan, known to family and friends as Rajen and Siva, was such a wonderful man. He was fantastic and formidable, proud and strong.
He was the very best father anyone could ever hope for and we are so proud of him.
He deserves so much and we will do everything we can to honour him.
There will be a Tamil service at Croydon Crematorium, West Chapel on Thursday the 8th of February at 12:15pm and we invite you to join us in celebrating our father’s life, mourning his passing, and seeing him onwards.
There will be a livestream of the service for those of you who are abroad or unable to attend in person.
There will also be an 18th day anniversary celebration on the 16th of February. For those of you who will be unable to attend a second ceremony, we will be inviting you to join us at our dad’s home in the afternoon/ evening following the service.
While we want everyone to come as they please, the only request we have is to ask you to kindly try and avoid wearing black, considered a negative colour in Hindu culture.
If you would like to visit to the Chapel of Rest on Wednesday at 3pm to see Rajen. The chapel is located in Bromley at 83 Burnt Ash Lane, Bromley, BR1 5AA. Please let us know before hand.
Our dad had such a big heart, he was simple and honest and didn’t want for much but for peace and love for his family and for everyone.
His final thoughts were for his family, the children of Palestine, and being able to cook a wonderful Fish Vindaye! And oh how this sums him up!
Om Namaya Shivaya Om.
We love you Dad,
James, Rebecca & Jonathan xxx
The service will be held in the West Chapel.
For those of you who will be unable to attend a second ceremony, we will be inviting you to join us at our dad’s home in the afternoon/ evening following the service.
