Sunday was born in Afaha Rd, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. He was the 2nd born of 6 siblings and the eldest son. Here he studied Physics and Electronics and worked as a laboratory technician.
He married Grace Nwamu on 16th June 1983 and they moved to the UK in 1989, to follow his calling to become a minister.
Sunday studied at All Nations Christian College, a theological college in Ware, Hertfordshire and went on to obtain a post graduate Diploma in Applied Theology at the University of Oxford in 2001.
He was ordained as a Lutheran Church minister in 2002, after which he became the new pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Tottenham. He remained the pastor there until he was called to be with The Lord.
Sunday lived and breathed his ministerial work. He found great joy in reaching out to others to share the Word of God. He wanted people to know the joy and peace of having a personal relationship with God and to understand the Word of God on a deeper level. For this reason we know he was a blessing to many, especially his congregation at Holy Trinity.
Sunday was a hard working family man who loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He took an interest in all his children’s endeavors and was always ready to offer a listening ear, advice and prayer.
Sunday leaves behind 5 children and 4 grandchildren. He is much loved and will be greatly missed.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
