Sally Anne's Life Story
She spent lots of time at Great Ormond street hospital, they didnt help and said Sally would not live beyond 13, and then another dr said she wouldnt live beyond 21, well she certainly did live to 67.
My mum & dad idolised Sally and Sally had everything she wanted , they took her out in the car and the lorry , she had beautiful clothes
but Sally couldnt go to school her autsim was very bad and she was diagnosed with Cornielia De Lange sydrome.
My Mum and Dad did everything for Sally. Dad passed and mum continued to look after Sally until it got too hard and Mum relunctatly put Sally into Ashford Lodge.

Today, we come together to remember and celebrate the life of my aunt Sally, Sally was a remarkable individual whose journey was marked by resilience and strength, she brought joy to us; her family though marked by special needs. Sally was an aunt to Leigh and I, then became a great Aunt to Emilie, Lucie and Alfie, Sally knew this and watched over us as babies and as we all grew up, was connected to us all in her own special way. One of the most beautiful aspects of Sally’s life was her ability to be happy and smile. She loved music and to dance, from a young age I would dance with Sally every time I visited and this made Sally happy, she loved to hum different songs too, especially “here comes the bride” Sally loved sweets and chocolate and she would check them and you could see her counting to herself how many she had , to make sure no one had taken any . Sally was very clever and had her own special way of seeing the world through different lens to us. Sally lived beyond the years they said she would, this is mainly due to the love and care she received from our family, especially my nan which was 24/7 care, Sally’s character meant Nan has to have eyes in the back of her head, as Sally was demanding but gave Nan a lifelong tea buddy as Sally did love her cups of tea and Nan’s too. As we say goodbye to Sally, we are reminded of the indelible mark Sally has left on our hearts. Sally has taught us about the power of perseverance, though marked by challenges, was also filled with triumphs – triumphs of spirit, of love, and of the ability to inspire those around her to be happy. Sally’s life story is not one defined by special needs, but rather by special abilities – the ability to love unconditionally, to give happiness and joy to her family. Thank you, Aunt Sally for the lessons you taught us, for the joy you brought into our lives, and for the privilege of knowing and loving you. Your spirit will continue to inspire us, and your memory will always be a beacon of hope and love in our hearts. Aunt Sally, Dance with the Angels now and be free. Love Louise xxxxxx
