We hit it off nearly 50years ago when you were known lovingly as Ginger Ted!! We did so much together even when you became a “northerner “ we always kept in touch ! You were one of the only people in my life that knew the real me! I’ll miss you so much my friend but I know we will meet again soon if not sooner! I will keep my promise I made to you that I’ll always be there for the love of your life Maggie if ever she needs anything. God bless you my friend ❤️

Ted, we were neighbours for many years and I have very fond memories of those times. You were always there to lend a hand and give me the benefit of your advice and experience. But what I will remember and miss about you, Ted, is your wit, dry sense of humour and the many laughs. You will be greatly missed.x

Thinking of Ted with great fondness & affection. We became neighbours in Sunderland 40 years ago. Where do you start describing Mr Ted Lenahan? Ted was such a charismatic gentlemen with a brilliant quick wit and a great sense of humour and a kind & very generous nature. But Ted also had the ability to be a bit of a visionary in terms of business acumen with a sound entrepreneurial mindset. Myself and my late husband Deny & our family will always remember Ted with great affection and we are all proud to have known Ted and to have been able to class Ted as a friend. Maggie , Debbie, Barrie and families please know how much Ted is and was thought of by anyone who knew him . Sending our heartfelt sympathies to you all RIP Mr Ted x

Ted, you wonderful legend, who we affectionately knew as “Ted-bear” Over the years we saw how devoted you were to our sister-in-law Maggie and Debbie & Barrie, always there for them, Stephen, Claire and their families.  Remembering the skilled and hard working entrepreneur – The Ugly Video store, the Blinds Mannie, to name just a couple! Oh, you were indeed ahead of your time! The heart of Bosie’s furniture section and always happy to welcome you, chat and share some witty banter. Loved to fix stuff, but taking no nonsense when looking for the right price for those charity donations. Fond memories indeed! Everyone should have a Ted Bear in their lives and we know he will be missed forever Sending lots of love to you all from Karen, Rod and family in Aberdeen and Linlithgow xx 

Difficult to find the right words…Parting is indeed sad and heartbreaking sorrow. It’s with deep regret that we weren’t able to say farewell to Ted in person… Being far away in California, traveling has been difficult for several years. Ted lived his life with great exuberance & passion, on his terms! We will dearly miss his sharp wit and positive spirit. To a wonderful life, well lived with the beautiful love of Margaret, always by his side. We will miss Ted so very much. I met Mr Ted (How I always greeted him) in Queensway Off the Bayswater Rd London in the summer of 1978! I was managing a mini cab office in Fulham called Atlas and was out with my team putting cards through peoples letter boxes when I saw the smartest mini cab driver I’d ever seen in a silver spotless silver Audi a mop of ginger hair wearing collar and tie!! I approached him introduced myself and asked him to join Atlas Cars ! A few months later he actually bought the company and the long friendship with myself Mr Ted & John(Kyri) started till this day!! Mr Ted and his Loving wife Maggie were witnesses at my Wedding in 2017 in Scotland ! A year never went by without us getting together myself John And Mr Ted ( not forgetting the other halves)to laugh and joke about our crazy experiences together until the early hours of the morning!! Mr Ted and Maggie his loving wife were adored by my wife Tanya and my daughter Riana they use to look forward to there visits! Mr Ted I make this promise to you Maggie will always be welcomed to my home as if you were with her we are and will always be family ❤️We will all miss you so much rest in peace my friend you will never be forgotten ♥️
