Funeral Details
West London Crematorium (East Chapel)
Friday 9th August 2024
2.30 pm

The service will start promptly at 2:30pm in the East Chapel of the West London Crematorium.
Address:
Kensal Green Cemetery, Harrow Road, London NW10 5JS.
Dress Code:
The family kindly requests that attendees do not wear black.
Directions to the crematorium:
For those travelling from overseas, we would recommend downloading Uber and Citymapper.
By Taxi:
The postcode covers a large area (72 acres) so try and specify that you need to be dropped off/picked up in the West London Crematorium Car Park opposite the Crematorium Chapels (near the West gate of the Cemetery). The West Gate is on Harrow Road, near Alma Place.
If using Uber, you may not have the option to specify the car park, so once you arrive at the entrance to the Crematorium (where you should see a large black sign 'Kensal Green Cemetery'), please ask the driver to complete the short drive from the entrance to outside of the Crematorium.
An Uber to and from the Crematorium is around £15-£16 from Kenton (per car), and the journey time is approximately 30 minutes.
Please note that you can pre-book Ubers (at a small cost) but they do not guarantee a ride. Please leave time to find a driver on the day as sometimes it can be difficult to find drivers in Harrow.
By Car:
As above, please head to the West London Crematorium Car Park. The entrance to the Crematorium is on the Harrow Road near Alma Place. Please use the car park at the Crematorium, however, if this is full, you may park on the Cemetery roads so long as there is enough space for other cars to get past you.
By Train:
Kensal Green station is served by the Overground (Euston/Watford) and London Underground (Bakerloo line). When exiting the station, take a left and then turn right onto Harrow Road and walk uphill towards Scrubs Lane.
The Crematorium entrance is on the left just after the Masons Arms Public House (you will see a large black sign 'Kensal Green Cemetery'). Please walk up the path until you see the Crematorium (this should be about a 5 minute walk).
For those staying in Kenton, you can take either the Bakerloo line or London Overground to Kensal Green station (a 17 minute train).
Wake
We look forward to celebrating Tim's life with his dearest friends and family at our home. Details of the event are below:
Address of the Wake:
The wake will be held in our garden at 170 Carlton Avenue West, North Wembley, HA0 3QX.
Directions from the Crematorium:
By train: The nearest station to our house is South Kenton (Bakerloo/Overground). You can either take the Bakerloo line towards Harrow & Wealdstone or the Overground to Watford Junction. Each train stops at South Kenton and takes approximately 15 minutes.
Our house is a 10-15 minute walk from South Kenton station. When exiting South Kenton station, go down the stairs and turn left (which should be the 'Nathans Road exit').
Please note that it will be difficult to get a taxi from the station to our house due to the short distance.
By taxi: An Uber to and from the Crematorium is around £15-£16 (per car) and the journey time is approximately 30 minutes.
By car/parking: There is free street parking by our house, however, given the proximity to Northwick Park Hospital, parking can sometimes be limited.

Please head straight to the wake following the service for refreshments.
We are aiming to eat at 6pm. Please let Katie (07590 071 557) or Detta (Dee) (07841 097 615) know if you have any dietary requirements.
Celebration:
Tim, as we all know, loved a party and we are very much treating the wake as a celebration of his life. We look forward to hearing your stories and memories of his life over a few drinks.

I knew Tim for over 27 years. Met at Thames Water and then tried to keep in touch over the years even when I moved to Australia. Spent many a night at the Sudbury Arms on a Friday or Saturday. Tim always made sure I managed to get home by taxi somehow. We had a number of Golf Trips as the PSG Society. (Port Slurping Golfers). Visited Portugal several times and also Tunisia. Visit consisted of arriving, into bar, sleeping, golf, into bar etc etc. Tim was much the better golfer than others on the trips, but we all enjoyed the mateship and fun times. He was the first to invite my wife and I round when we got engaged and celebrate together. I was glad I met up with him when I was over in the UK last year. I was lucky to have known him and call him a friend. Rest easy now Timbo.
