Καλό ταξίδι σε ένα υπέροχο άνθρωπο που γνώρισα τα παιδικά μου χρόνια… Είχα χρόνια να την δω αλλά βαθιά μέσα μου την ενοιωθα την αγαπούσα και χαιρομουν να μαθαίνω νέα της από την γλυκειά αδελφή της που μίλαγαν καθημερινά! Καλό παράδεισο και ξέρω ότι εκεί επάνω πολλοί άνθρωποι την αγγαλισαν!!! Mike and Irene soooo sorry for your loss my mum and mysellf as re thinking of you! May she rest in Peace with all her loved ones!!! Love you guys!!!

One of my earliest memories of Aunty Nina was when the family would visit us. Like my mother (her cousin), she was quite a character and they looked alike too. When we would discuss a hot topic in Greek, she would suddenly turn to her son and say “bloody hell Michalimou” just to pause and catch her breath. It would make us laugh as it was so unexpected. We became closer in the latter years of her life, when she would often call me and encourage me through some difficult times. She would say “Ella Koritsimou, pos pame?” I can still hear that voice and see that distinctive smile of hers. I will miss her so much. She was such an interesting person, great at listening and at conversation. We could talk for hours! She was also such a good reference point. She had an amazing memory and gave me some very good pointers when I went to visit Kassos where our ancestors were born. Its such a shame that we lost her so suddenly. RIP Aunty Nina. My deepest sympathy go to her children, Irene and Michael, her granchildren, her sister Foulla, and all her close family. We hold you close in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. We love you so much.

So sorry for your loss Michael and Irene. I will always think of you and your mum as part of our extended family that has been a constant feature of my life since I was a little boy. To Mike, Irene & families. I am so sad and shocked by the passing of your mum. We have been good friends for forty years and so I have very fond memories of our times together which I will really miss. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time. With love, Jenny.

Aunt Nina’s house was my home from home when I came to London to study in 1987. She has been an anchor to my Greek family, and I will miss our long telephone conversations when she shared old stories about her life in Egypt, our family, and her visits to Kassos as a child. May she rest in peace. Sending healing prayers and much love to my dear cousins Irini and Michalis.
