Covering 16.5 hectares along the River Medlock in Miles Platting, it is a Grade II listed historic park and holds a Green Flag Award. The cemetery contains 274 First World War and 174 Second World War burials, as well as the graves of veterans of the Battle of Rorke's Drift and the Charge of the Light Brigade. One of the original four mortuary chapels survives on site.
Grave leases are provided from 99 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
Anyone can be buried at Philips Park Cemetery, but grave prices depend on residency. Lower resident rates typically apply to families living in Manchester, with higher fees for non-residents. Residency rules are complex so please check with your funeral arranger.
