Radcliffe Cemetery opened in 1904 and occupies a pleasant setting with views towards the Pennines. It is notable as the only Bury Council cemetery offering a green or woodland burial area, where trees are planted in place of headstones and biodegradable or eco-friendly coffins are encouraged. A separate ashes plot section is also available. The privately operated East Lancashire Crematorium (run by Dignity) sits immediately adjacent to the cemetery but is managed independently.
Grave leases are provided from 99 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
