It contains approximately 16,000 to 17,000 interments and benefits from an adjacent seven-acre reserve field held for future expansion. The cemetery has the distinction of containing a Unitarian burial section, which is unique among Salford's four council cemeteries. Toilet facilities are located to the right of the main entrance, and water taps are positioned throughout the grounds. Vehicle access is via Cemetery Road South and pedestrian access via Westminster Street.
Grave leases are provided from 75 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
