Ashton (Hurst) Cemetery is a Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council cemetery opened in 1891, located on Kings Road in Ashton-under-Lyne. It is one of only two cemeteries in the Tameside borough with a dedicated Muslim burial section. The cemetery follows Tameside's standard lawn cemetery format (no kerb sets since 1974) and does not have an on-site chapel. Graveside services follow Tameside's maximum 20-minute service regulation. The cemetery has an Exclusive Right of Burial lease of 100 years, one of the longest in Greater Manchester.
Grave leases are provided from 100 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
