About Hollinwood Cemetery
Hollinwood Cemetery is the largest of Oldham's seven cemeteries at 27.6 acres, opened in 1889. It houses both the borough's Cemeteries administrative office and Oldham Crematorium, which has been in operation since 1953, making it the operational heart of Oldham's bereavement services. The crematorium chapel is the only operating burial or cremation chapel available for hire across the entire Oldham borough. The cemetery also contains a Commonwealth War Graves Commission section, memorial plaque gardens, and cremated remains plots.
Grave leases are provided from 99 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
