We're Available 24/7Dukinfield Cemetery is the oldest of Tameside's seven cemeteries, having opened in 1866 on Hall Green Road in Dukinfield. It is the operational heart of Tameside's bereavement services, housing the Tameside Crematorium, the Registrar's Office, the Book of Remembrance Lodge, and a Mulberry Garden memorial area. The cemetery and crematorium chapel accommodates between 80 and 100 mourners and is equipped with a Wesley media system providing music, visual tribute, webcasting, and recording facilities, as well as a hearing loop and a Braille service book. A dedicated infant and stillborn burial section is provided at no charge, with optional stone tablets available. Disabled toilet facilities and wheelchair ramps are available.
Grave leases are provided from 100 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
Anyone can be buried at Dukinfield Cemetery, but grave prices depend on residency. Lower resident rates typically apply to families living in Tameside, with higher fees for non-residents. Residency rules are complex so please check with your funeral arranger.
