Highfield Cemetery opened in 1929 on Highfield Avenue in Bredbury, overlooking the scenic Goyt Valley. Mature trees, shrubs, and seasonal flowering bulbs create a garden-like atmosphere. The cemetery features a refurbished ashes Columbarium for niche interments and a dedicated Natural Burial Area where burials are single-interment only and no headstones are permitted. This makes Highfield the only Stockport cemetery offering natural or woodland burial. The cemetery is situated near Bredbury railway station on the Hope Valley line. No public toilet facilities are available on site.
Grave leases are provided from 75 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
