Stretford Cemetery opened on 4 February 1885 on Lime Road in Stretford and is a Victorian municipal burial ground primarily serving the Stretford, Old Trafford, and Gorse Hill communities. No new burial plots are available. The cemetery contains a Manchester Blitz memorial erected in 1948, marking the communal grave of 17 unidentified victims of the German bombing of December 1940. The mortuary chapel survives on site but is no longer in use for services. The cemetery is approximately 600 metres from Stretford Metrolink stop.
Grave leases are provided from 50 years, with extensions usually available from the cemetery.
